About Us
The Association is responsible for managing eight kindergartens in the South and Central Taranaki area.
The Management Team of the Association is responsible for such things as:
- Professional leadership for curriculum within kindergartens
- Human resource management and appointment of teaching and support staff
- Professional advice, guidance and support to teaching and support staff and committees
- Over seeing buildings and property; including advice and assistance
- Administration and financial support; including Payroll
- Establishing and maintaining contacts with other early childhood agencies.
Our Commitment
The Association is committed to:
- Providing education and support programmes which respect the dignity, rights, abilities, individuality, cultural values and learning styles of children, teachers, parents and management.
- Providing advice, support and professional learning and development which will enhance the performance of teachers and management.
- Ensuring that the activities of the Association and kindergartens centre on the needs of the child as a learner, and on the principles, requirements, goals and objectives of our Strategic Plan.
- Ensuring that the activities of the Association and kindergartens are high quality and cost effective.
- Honouring the principles and practices of dual heritage inherent in the Treaty of Waitangi ( Te Tiriti o Waitangi)
- Ensuring equitable practices.
