Reverse Government cuts to Early Childhood Education funding.
The Government cut $285 million from the 2010 early childhood education budget.
The cuts mean less money for over 2,000 services and will impact on more than 93,000 children.
We want to provide the very best early childhood education for your child. All the evidence shows that investment in early childhood education brings the most return for children, families and society as a whole. Despite this, New Zealand spends less than the OECD average on ECE.
A petition is being launched to call for a commitment by the Government to plan to meet the UNICEF recommendation of 1% of GDP spent on ECE.
